Evening Study Centres (ESCs)
We run 55 evening study centres, which means a structured and supportive place for students to study after school or work. This study centre operates for two hours daily, providing homework support, language and math lessons, and moral education.
This was established to help children from lower establishments, such as those who lack facilities like lights, rooms or those who need help with their studies, etc. Volunteer animators are mostly educated Urali youth who guide children using joyful learning methods.
Parents say these centres have reduced dropouts and improved exam results. “My son never missed the ESC. His marks improved, and now he wants to become a teacher,” says Lalitha, a mother from Kadayampatti (similar quotes from Someone).
